TOP.24.III

$2,800.00

This sculpture materialized as clay descended, surrendering to gravity's pull in a moment of intentional release. Alabaster Frost envelops the surface of TOP.24.III, a translucent opal white that creates a luminous base, capturing and diffusing light from within. The semi opaque glaze reveals subtle variations of depth throughout, with scattered deposits of cream volcanic ash creating a misty topography. This ethereal landscape is enriched by crystalline formations of mint green, while small accents of deep cobalt blue, from found studio glass, and hints of rich oxblood accent the piece with red. When illuminated, the piece appears to float seamlessly against a tonal ivory wall.

Mounted on hand welded backing crafted by Taylor Forrest Studios in New York's Hudson Valley, the piece is completed by custom metalwork oxidized to a deep gunmetal black. The sculpture is illuminated by dimmable LED lighting, offering control over its luminous presence, and can be configured for either hardwire installation or plug in convenience.
