TOP.24.II

$2,800.00

This sculptural piece materialized as clay descended, surrendering to gravity's pull in a moment of intentional release. TOP.24.II emerged with dynamic folds and sweeping curves, its form suggesting fabric caught in wind or waves frozen at the height of movement. The deep indigo foundation creates a midnight landscape across the sculpture's surface, with obsidian textures punctuating the steel blue terrain. At various edges and peaks, stark white formations emerge like clouds drifting across a night sky, their textural presence creating dramatic contrast against the dark indigo depths beneath. Ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano is embedded within the glaze, infusing the piece with primordial material that speaks to earth's own creative processes.

Mounted on hand welded backing crafted by Taylor Forrest Studios in New York's Hudson Valley, the piece is completed by custom metalwork oxidized to a deep gunmetal black. The sculpture is illuminated by dimmable LED lighting, offering control over its luminous presence, and can be configured for either hardwire installation or plug in convenience.
